Daniel grew up in London in a family of Classical Musicians. He first fell in love with Cinema when his parents played in the Carl Davis Silent Film Orchestra. Playing with a live orchestra to films including Chaplin's 'City Lights' and Abel Gance's 'Napoleon' on three screens.

Daniel graduated with an MA in Modern History from the University of Oxford. He began his career Directing Documentaries for Channel 4. Daniel then started Directing Drama with his film ‘Drone’ starring Ewen Bremner (Trainspotting). The film was screened at the US Capitol and at a special debate on the ethics of military drone strikes at the University of Oxford.

Daniel produced ‘Sidney Turtlebaum’ starring Sir Derek Jacobi. The film went on to be OSCAR Shortlisted, BIFA Nominated, Nominated for the Iris Prize and was acquired by the BFI Film Archive.

Also active in Theatre, Daniel Produced the hit play ‘Allegiance’ at the Assembly Rooms at the Edinburgh Festival, starring the OSCAR Nominated actor Michael Fassbender (12 Years a Slave, Hunger).

Daniel also worked with Salma Hayek (House of Gucci, The Eternals, Frida) on a Feature Film project in development.

Daniel then Directed ‘The Secret World of Foley’ a documentary about Foley Artists, filmed at Pinewood Studios. The film was a Vimeo ‘Short of the Week’ and went onto receive over 150 Million Views online. The film was acquired by the OSCAR Film Library in Los Angeles as part of their archive. The film also won a Special Prize from Francis Ford Coppola's (The Godfather, Apocalypse Now) Film Competition, Judged by Gus Van Sant (Good Will Hunting, My Own Private Idaho, Drugstore Cowboy).

Daniel’s documentary about the underground Hip-hop movement in Iran, screened on Al Gore’s Current TV and was shown as part of the British Museum’s Iran Exhibition.

Daniel had films screened in back to back years at the BFI London Film Festival and was then commissioned by Creative England and the BFI to write a Feature Film Screenplay.

Daniel then Directed a proof of concept for the Feature called ‘London Arabia’ which won over 30 International Awards in 2021. The film starred Navid Negahban (Homeland, Tehran) and screened in competition at 4 OSCAR Qualifying Film Festivals. The Feature version of the project, now titled EDGWARE ROAD will shoot in 2022.
